Welcome New Lab Members!
We are excited to welcome graduate students Melette DeVore and Grazi Preterotto to the lab this spring 2025! Melette will be working on the initial communication between root-knot nematode and a model host Medicago truncatula to understand how plants perceive friend or foe. Grazi will be working to understand the molecular mechanisms of the synergistic disease complex between root lesion nematode and Verticillium sp. to cause potato early dying.
We are also excited to welcome Santina Cullison to the lab to complete her Capstone project towards her degree in Plant Pathology. She will be working along with BTCI Intern Sophia Heil to isolate and characterize bacteria that is associated with the potato rot nematode
